In Loving Memory of Zane Borden
Zane Borden, a man of many trades and even deeper truths, departed this world after a long and courageous battle with inner pain. Though his passing came in sorrow, his life was marked by profound love, resilience, and transformation—and he now rests in eternal peace with his Heavenly Father.
Zane was a master of the tangible and the intangible. He could fix anything—from tangled wires to broken hearts. Whether he was cooking up something delicious in the kitchen, casting a line into still waters, or tinkering with a stubborn piece of tech, Zane brought patience, curiosity, and care to everything he touched. He was the kind of man who didn’t just know how things worked—he understood why they mattered.
But it was his heart that defined him most. Zane felt deeply, spoke with intention, and carried the weight of life’s battles with quiet courage. He was honest about his mistakes, always striving to take accountability and grow from them. That humility—his willingness to own his flaws and keep showing up—was one of his most powerful gifts.
Zane cherished connection. He often spent time calling his loved ones—especially his Aunt Tasha and his cousin Daeshia—to reminisce about life, share stories, and reflect on the past with warmth and laughter. These conversations were his way of staying close to the people who shaped him, grounding himself in love and memory.
He was also a man of wonder. Zane loved astronomy—he could lose himself in the stars, dreaming beyond the horizon. He found peace in the mountains, awe in midnight drives, and joy in the rhythm of a good song. Besides his wife and children, music was his greatest love. He was an absolute rock star in spirit—passionate, expressive, and always chasing the next note that made him feel alive.
Through the journey of marriage and fatherhood, Zane found not only purpose but profound faith. His relationship with God became a wellspring of peace and strength, a testament to the transformative power of love and redemption. Though his earthly journey ended in pain, we hold fast to the promise that Zane is now whole, healed, and held in the arms of his Savior.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alivia, and their two children, Lyla and Ruth, who carry his spirit in every laugh, every hug, and every moment of wonder. He is also survived by his father, Olen; two aunts on his mother’s side; an aunt and uncle on his father’s side; and countless cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him deeply and will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Zane is now reunited in heaven with his beloved mother, Rose Borden; his Granny Bea; his Uncle “Bro”; his Papaw Clyde; and his aunts Valerie and Sophia. Their embrace welcomes him home.
To know Zane was to witness a soul in motion—always learning, always loving, always seeking the light. He was a devoted husband, a present and tender father, and a man whose words could stop you in your tracks and make you feel seen.
Zane Borden’s life was a mosaic of grit, honesty, and grace. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in every meal shared, every story told, every midnight drive, and every moment of quiet faith.
As he now walks in eternal life, we remember the verse that guided his heart:
“But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream.” — Amos 5:24
