Sharon D. Gilles, (67) of Fond du lac, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Sharon was born on February 5th, 1959, the daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy Adrian in Fond du Lac. She married Michael Gilles on April 15th, 1978, and was blessed with two children. Sharon and Mike resided in Fond du Lac their entire married lives. Sharon’s largest accomplishments are her grandchildren that she loved spending time with. She also loved being a foster parent and took a lot of pride in doing so. Sharon enjoyed camping in the Montello and Green Lake areas and enjoyed all the games she played with all the neighbors at the campground. She enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone for any occasion. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and always put everyone before herself.

Sharon is survived by her spouse of 48 years, Michael, her children, Mitchell (Kelly Starich) Gilles, Dorothy (Breanna Epley) Gilles, Mitzy Oppermann, her grandchildren, Teagan Starich, Isabella Brooks, and Avarie Emmer-Oppermann. Sharon is further survived by her step-mother, Kay Kohlman, a sister Karen Ebert. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, in laws, and other children she treated as her own.

Sharon is preceded in death by both parents, a brother Gary Adrian, and a brother in law Glenn Ebert Sr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th, 2026 at Twohig Funeral Home in Fond du Lac (305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac, WI) from 11am till 2pm.

Service will be on Friday, September 25th, 2026 at Twohig Funeral Home in Fond du Lac (305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac, WI) held at 2pm. Following the funeral service the burial will be held at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
