Sawyer Alan Dirmeier, age 18, of Campbellsport, was welcomed home to Jesus on June 24, 2025, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Though his time with us was far too short, his life was filled with passion, purpose, and a light that touched everyone who knew him. Born on April 17, 2007, Sawyer was the beloved son of Alan and Kathee (Brautigam) Dirmeier. He was a proud 2025 graduate of Campbellsport High School, where he left a lasting mark as a dedicated student-athlete and friend. Sawyer ran Track and Cross Country starting in 6th grade and was a talented baseball player whose journey began at the T-ball level. Outside the classroom and off the field, Sawyer became a skilled welder as part of the Youth Apprentice Program at Mayville Engineering, a role he held during and after high school.
He was also an avid outdoorsman who found joy and peace in hunting, fishing, and embracing every adventure nature had to offer. A dedicated bodybuilder, Sawyer valued strength both in body and spirit, and he carried that strength into every aspect of his life. Sawyer’s smile was unforgettable—radiant, warm, and full of life. His sense of humor is unforgettable along with his electric blue eyes. Whether surrounded by friends or exploring the outdoors, he had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and uplifted. His kind heart, sense of humor, and deep faith in Christ will be dearly missed. Sawyer was a blessing to have as a son, brother, and friend.
Those left to behind to cherish Sawyer's memory are his parents Alan and Kathee, siblings Mason and Karlee, grandfather Laurence (Dianne) Dirmeier, grandmother Nancy Dirmeier, aunts and uncles Aimee (Jeff) Schmidt, Brian Brautigam, Deborah (Todd) Adornato, Jeffrey (Sarah) Dirmeier, Amy (Tony) Dirmeier; special cousin Todd Smith, cousins Adrienne, Olivia, Dominic, Vincent, Madisen, Noah, Miranda, Ariel, Chet, Ruth Anna, Nathan, and Caleb. He is further survived by other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Judy and Peter Brautigam. He leaves behind countless loved ones, friends, teammates, and coworkers who will carry his memory with them always. The Dirmeier family asks that you honor his memory by embracing God, the outdoors, living life fully, and never forgetting the power of a smile. Rest easy, Sawyer. Until we meet again. In lieu of flowers donation in Sawyers memory will be used for his younger siblings' education.
