Ronald P. Murphy

Ronald P. Murphy of Fond du Lac passed away on October 12, 2026, at Eden Vista of Ripon after battling dementia. He was born in Black Creek on June 17, 1941, to John and Helen (Stephani) Murphy.

Ron graduated from Seymour High School in 1959. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. On April 24, 1971, he married Sharon Milton at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac.

Ron was a member of the Fond du Lac Youth Baseball Coaching Hall of Fame and coached baseball from 1983 to 2006. He was employed at Sadoff for 28 years before retiring in 2008.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children, Michael (Kris) Murphy, John Murphy, Tracy Murphy, Mary Murphy, and Suzy Schmidt; six grandchildren; Four great-grandchildren; brothers Larry Murphy, Dennis (Cindy) Murphy, and Patrick (Jackie) Murphy; and sister- and brothers-in-law Kathy Zwetow, Kim (Jim) Riendeau, Gerald (Joan) Milton, and Phillip Rhode. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon, his sister Sharon and his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ledgeview Memorial Park Chapel. Visitation will begin at noon and continue until the time of service. Full military honors will be rendered.
