Richard J. Warriner, 58, of Fond du Lac, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the Lutheran Home of Fond du Lac, where he had resided for the past 17 years. He was born on November 12, 1967, in Hartford, Wisconsin, to Michael and Sandra (Komp) Warriner.
Rick found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed playing Bingo, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Known for his kind spirit and generous heart, Rick touched the lives of many. He had a special way of making people feel welcomed and appreciated, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him.
Rick is survived by his two brothers, Ken (Tina) Warriner of Texas and Bobby Warriner of St. Cloud; five sisters, Jean (Dave) Braford of West Bend, DeeDee Warriner of Fond du Lac, Jennifer Matteson of Fond du Lac, Lynn Komp of Ripon, and Kristin (Kelvin) Stebbins of Richland Center. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Warriner and Sandra Komp; his brother, James Warriner; and his brother-in-law, Larry Matteson.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Lutheran Home and SSM Hospice for their compassionate care of Richard.
A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
