Monica G. Ford, 87, of Lomira passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend with her beloved family gathered with her. She was born in West Milwaukee on March 12, 1938, the daughter of Carl and Gladys (nee Swiantczak) Sasse.
Monica was united in marriage to John E. Ford on December 20, 1974 at St. John’s Wedding Chapel in Milwaukee. She was a homemaker raising her family, did dog grooming at her home, and painted ceramics which were sold at the Campbellsport Ben Franklin. Monica loved gardening and her flowers; she had a “Big Green Thumb”. She had a great love of Schnauzers, and her present companion is Shaggy. Monica loved everyone and everyone loved her; all were welcome at her home.
Monica is survived by her children Chuck (Julie) Stammler, Toni Stammler, Linda Jansen, Chris Stammler, Theresa Ford, Sheri Laidler, and Bruce Ford, her grandchildren Margaret, Grant, Frank, Gina, Tara, Chance, Cole, Faith Hailey, R’iell, Amy, Jude, and Emma, six great grandchildren, her sister Alice Seibel, her nephew Robert Seibel, her sister-in-law Thelma Ann (James) Hammes, her brother-in-law Rick (Chris) Ford, her Cousin Clare, other relatives and friends
Preceding Monica in death were her parents Carl and Gladys, husband John on March 1, 2014, daughter Amber, grandsons James and Garret, and sister Pauline “Bonnie” Brokaski.
A celebration of Monica’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
The Ford family extends a special thank you to the doctors and staff of Froedtert West Bend Hospital and the Kathy Hospice staff.
