Mike Baumhardt, 53, of Eden passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 very unexpectedly. He was born on July 12, 1972, the son of Jerry and Sharon Baumhardt.
Mike was a graduate of Campbellsport High School. He was a 4-H member in his younger years and liked woodworking which he learned from his Grandpa Mathers. He also took his steer to the fair each year and that started his love for farming. He worked for farmers during his teenage years and later started his own cash cropping business and purchased his own land and machinery. Mike planted sunflowers that made for the best pictures with Mia and his nieces and nephews. Also, after high school Mike became an operator and was a member of the Local 139 Operators Union for thirty years.
Mike belonged to the Crooked Trails Snowmobile Club and was Trail Boss where he operated the groomer and scheduled trail maintenance. He was an avid snowmobiler; especially enjoying snowmobiling up north along with UTVing in the summer.
Survivors include his daughter Mia Baumhardt, mother Sharon Baumhardt, siblings Michelle (Scott) Wood, and Matt (Amy) Baumhardt, dear friend Gwen and her mother Maureen, nieces and nephew Jordan and Kylee Wood, Zoey Promen, and Brayson and Shaley Baumhardt, former wife Karen Baumhardt, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Jerry Baumhardt and grandparents Joe and Jean Baumhardt and Verne and Sadie Mathers.
Visitation for Mike will be Saturday, May 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
