Melvin A. Krewald

Melvin A. Krewald, 92, of the Town of Eden went to his heavenly home on Monday, September 15, 2025 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born on February 26, 1933 at the family home in the Town of Auburn, the son of Walter and Cecelia (nee Marquardt) Krewald. On October 25, 1958, Melvin was united in marriage to Norma B. Daliege at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee.

Melvin farmed in the Town of Eden and also did cattle trucking. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Melvin loved his farm and there was always work to do.

Survivors include his wife Norma, his sons Bruce (Dianne) of Plymouth and Nathan (Kathy) of Eden, his daughters Noreen (Rodney) Erdman of Rosendale and Renee (John) Beck of Mt. Calvary, four step grandchildren, brother Myron (Margaret) Krewald, brother-in-law Eugene (Carol) Daliege, Godsons Paul Marquardt and Steve Immel, Goddaughter Marcia Shelton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Cecelia, son Mark, sisters Dorothy (Donald) Heinecke, Marcella Krewald, and Ruth (LaVerne) Immel, brothers Harvey, Edward, Alvin (Dorothy), and Elmer, infant brothers Walter Jr. and Alfred.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 20th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Main Street, Fond du Lac.

The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac with Rev. Peter Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.

Memorial are appreciated to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, or the Edens Lions Club.
