Mary A. Gergen, 91, formerly of the Town of Osceola passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Serenity Villa in Campbellsport. She was born in Beaver Dam on October 4, 1931, the daughter of William and Katherine (Kumba) Gergen. Mary was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School and was very interested in music. She worked as a secretary at a number of different places and was a longtime organist at Our Lady of Angels and Shepherd of the Hills Parishes. Along with her sister Loretta, they ran the MerriLore Market in Armstrong for many years and were very involved with Camp Vista.
Survivors include her brothers Paul (Barbara) Gergen and David (Judy) Gergen, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents William and Katherine, and siblings Loretta, Scott, Jim and Sr. Dolores O.S.F.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21 st from 10:00 am until time of Mass at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden, WI.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 21st at 11:00 am at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and burial will be private at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Beaver Dam.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Serenity Villa for the loving and quality care Mary received and Andrew and Anna Fedziukiewicz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated for Camp Vista.
