Marilyn Jean Wagner of Fond du Lac, WI passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday August 1, 2026.
Marilyn “Mitz” Wagner was born on May 17, 1946, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI to Edgar and Hazel (Luedtke) Krug. Marilyn married Marvin G. Wagner on October 1, 1966, at St. Paul’s Town of Forest Church, Mt. Calvary, WI.
She was a 1964 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy. She also achieved an associate’s degree in accounting from Moraine Park Technical Institute of Fond du Lac, WI. Over the course of their marriage, Marvin and Marilyn discussed becoming a truck driving team to travel the country. Later in life Marilyn made that wish come true by successfully becoming a truck driver for Kreilkamp Trucking out of Allenton, WI. Over that period, she was well respected throughout the company and became an instructor, teaching newly hired drivers how to properly respect the industry while representing Kreilkamp Trucking. In 2005 she retired and took up woodworking; proudly making rocking horses, teddy bear rocking chairs and toy boxes for her grandchildren as a keepsake to remember their Grandma Mitz after she was gone. She has accomplished that feat using love and compassion as her guide.
Over her lifetime she enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards, bowling, and the occasional crossword puzzle. She had a very infectious laugh and always greeted you with a smile.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Marvin G. Wagner and her parents Edgar and Hazel Krug.
Marilyn is survived by her son Paul (Tricia) Wagner of Green Bay, WI; daughter Karen Kolkema of West Bend, WI; grandchildren - Max (Sydney) Wagner of Green Bay, WI; Jada Wagner of Green Bay, WI; Pacey (Hannah) Kolkema of Ruskin, FL; Owen Kolkema of West Bend, WI; brother Gary (Lenore) Krug of Elm Grove, WI; and sister Kate (Charles) Carlson of Janesville, WI.
