Linda A. Scannell, 74, of Armstrong went home to her Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 16, 1951, the daughter of Joseph and Geny (Hilt) Kraus. On December 11, 1971, Linda was united in marriage to Edward J. Scannell at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Peter.
Linda worked at Gourmet Delight Mushroom Farm for 10 years and then at Interior Systems in Fond du Lac for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed baking, gardening picking strawberries, cracking hickory nuts, and her apple crisp was a family favorite. She loved reading books and doing day trips with her sisters and friends. Family was most important to Linda, always being there for her grandkids sporting events.
Linda is survived by her husband Ed, children Doug, Dale (Jennifer), Dennis (Marie), Dan (Tiffany), Dave (Dawn), Debbie (Bob) Beck, and Dawn (Ted) Chiero, grandchildren Danielle, Kylie, Cody, Alexis, Katelyn, Zander, Gracie, and Reed, great grandchildren, brothers James (Linda) Kraus, Donald (Kathy) Kraus and Mark (Kathy) Kraus, sisters Mary “Jeannie” (Richard) Schroeder, Betty (Kenneth) Pitzen, Annie Kraus, Helen Stenz, Joyce (James) Gaulke, Nancy (Paul) Diederichs and Kathy (Tom) Diederichs, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mike Scannell, Mary Jo Scannell, Shirley and Rick Straub, Jean Scannell and Chuck Narges.
Linda was preceded in death by her father Joseph, mother Geny, sister Rose Scannell, brothers-in-law Patrick and Jerry Scannell and James Stenz, sister-in-law Mary Narges, and nephews Jim Scannell and Kenneth Scannell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 24th at 12:00 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.
Visitation will be Friday, October 24th from 10:00 am until time of Mass at the church.
Memorials are appreciated to Shepherd of the Hills Church or the Eden First Responders.
