Kenneth F. Schwartz, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Serenity Villa in Campbellsport.
He was born on July 6, 1936 in Ashford, WI, the son of August and Katherine (nee Zingsheim) Schwartz. He was a graduate of Campbellsport High School Class of 1955. Kenny was a United States Army Veteran. On September 11, 1956, he married Doris L. Butzke at Fort Polk in Leesville Louisianna Army Base. Ken worked as an auto mechanic at Kippenhan’s, Meyer Ford, and Schill Motors in Campbellsport. He retired after 38 years with Gehl Company, West Bend. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Campbellsport and served on the Campbellsport Village Board for many years. He owned and operated Kenny’s Small Engine and Bicycle Shop as a part-time job. In his spare time, he enjoyed shooting pool at Norma and Bernies, watching softball games, playing cards with family and friends, and was an avid stock car racing fan.
Ken is survived by his wife of 70 years Doris, his children Deb Fochs (fiancé Scott) of Jackson, Cheri (Jim) McDowell of Neenah, John (Sharon) Schwartz of Campbellsport, Yvonne (Earl) Sippel of St. Cloud, and Wanda (Jeff) Galligan of Fond du Lac, eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Janet and Kenneth Haesley, and in-laws Myrtle and Howard Horn.
Visitation for Ken will be Monday, October 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 pm at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and Military Honors will immediately follow the mass at the church. Inurnment will take place at St. Matthews Cemetery at a later date.
