James Lavern Frederick

James L. “Freddy” Frederick, 55, of Campbellsport passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at his home. He was born in West Bend, on April 29, 1970 the son of Lavern Frederick and LaVerne Schmidt Kreif.

Freddy previously worked at Gehl Company and currently at Manitowoc Cranes in Port Washington. He was an expert machinist and CNC Programmer. He was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed numerous outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling, and snowmobiling. Freddy was a huge motorcycle enthusiast and greatly enjoyed riding his Harley.

Survivors include his mother LaVerne (Hoggie) Kreif, his siblings Jackie Frederick, Jeff (Lisa) Frederick, and Julie (Mark) Frederick, his step-brother Nick Kreif, his nieces Millie, Bryn, and Bristol, his nephew Alec, other relatives and many friends.

Freddy was preceded in death by his father Lavern, and grandparents Mike and Martha Frederick and Alfred and Florence Schmidt.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
