Elizabeth “Betty” C. Westemeier, 85, of Fond du Lac went to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the St. Francis Home. She was born on March 27, 1940 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Alois and Frances (nee O’Rourke) Duley. On October 11, 1958. Betty was united in marriage with Robert L. Westemeier at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden.

Betty and Bob resided in Eden and raised their family there. Betty was very proud of her Irish heritage and greatly enjoyed her trips to Ireland as well as other trips abroad. She also enjoyed gardening and her flowers and Betty and Bob were avid dancers and very good at it. Her family was very important to her especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending as many of their activities as possible. Betty was an avid sport enthusiast following the Brewers, Packers, and women’s softball.

Survivors include her beloved husband Bob, her children Sue (David) Del Ponte, Steve (Dina) Westemeier, and Mark (Marie) Westemeier, grandchildren Eric (Leslie) Del Ponte, Kyle (Rhianon) Del Ponte, Ryan (Hillary) Del Ponte, Caitlin (Jacob) Casillas, Brandon (Sarah) Westemeier, Ethan Westemeier, Meghan Westemeier, Grace (Dylan) Hielke, and Maddy (fiancé Zak Joyce) Westemeier, great grandchildren Preston, Hayden, Maverick, Harper, Oliver, August, Ronin, Malakai, and Griffin, brothers Pat Duley and Mike Duley, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Alois and Frances, and siblings Frank (Lola) Duley, Jim (Pat) Duley, Dave (Marie) Duley, Judy (Phil) Enders, and Mary Ellen Duley.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6th from 9:00 to 11: 00 am at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave. Fond du Lac, followed by a Liturgy of the Word Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Charles Cemetery in Town of Taycheedah.

The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staffs of Woodlands, St. Francis Home, and SSM Hospice.

Memorials are appreciated to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Betty’s name.
