Elaine G. (nee Ritger) Weis, 84, of Campbellsport went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 at Liberty House in Fond du Lac after a long battle with dementia.
She was born on March 11th, 1942 in the Town of Allenton, the daughter of the late Martin and Johanna (nee Aufdemauer) Ritger. On April 15, 1961, Elaine was united in marriage to Lester Weis at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton. Elaine loved knitting, watching the birds, and enjoyed cooking and baking.
Survivors include children Lisa (Mike) Pionke, Charles (Kecia) Weis, and Christine (Kevin) Kohlmann, grandchildren Ryan (Pam), Cheryl (Jim), Aaron (Britt), Nathan, Dan (Sara), Sara (Andrew), Jared (fiancé Kelsey), Ethan (significant other Lilly), and Jonathon (Emily), great grandchildren Allison, Eli, Kinsley, Stella, Braxton, Bryson, Leo, Hal, Zaria, Ashley (Jake), Autumn, Maggie, Gavin, and Devon. Her siblings, Eugune (Mary Lou) Ritger, and Rosetta Rick; In-law’s, Rosalie Ritger, Mary Ritger, Penny Ritger, Martha Weis, Doris (Willy) Rusch, Florence (Tom) Flood, Norbert (Ruth) Weis, Alvin (Gloria) Weis, Kelly Weis. Along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Lester, her parents. Her siblings, Donny Ritger, George Ritger, Joyce (Lenny) Westphal, Pat (Vilas) Krueger, Marty Ritger, and many in-laws on Lester’s side.
Visitation for Elaine will be Saturday, July 25th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 25th at 11:30 am at St. Matthew’s Church with Rev. Neil Officiating. A burial of cremains will be held after the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthews Cemetery.
The Weis family extends a special thank you to the staff of Frontida Liberty House and Compassus Hospice for Elaine’s care.
