Dominic R. Troskey

Dominic (Nick) Raymond Troskey, 86 of FDL passed away on July 1, 2025 at Crossroads Nursing Home in FDL. He was born on December 7, 1939 to Anton and Regina Troskey in Milwaukee. He grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee.

In 1963 he was inducted in to the US Army Corps. He was honorably discharged in 1985. He received several badges, medals and completed various training courses through his time of service. He worked at the National Guard Center in FDL, also he was a custodian for the FDL School district and Church of Peace. He helped establish the Fond du Lac Bicycle Club and the Bike Coral at Walleye Weekend. In his spare time, he would help with the Fond Du Lac Senior Center brat fries. In his later years, he drove veterans to their appointments throughout the state.

He is survived by his two sisters: Donna (Jim) Szalcinski and Dorothy (Frank deceased) Kral. Children through his marriage; Debra (Thomas) Zinniel, Robert Michels, Thomas (Vickie) Michels, and Penny (Jeff) Selin. Grandchildren: Jessica Wegner, Tory Busch, Stephanie (Ryan) Lueck, Amanda (Eric) Kraus, Christopher (Elyse) Michels, Amber Thomas) Lichtensteiger, Layne, and Dana Selin. Great grandchildren; Cailey Wegner, Caleb Higgens, Austin Flores, Raeann and Riley Lueck, Peyton and Bruce Kraus, Chloe and Scarlette Michels, Charlotte, and Sophia Lichtensteiger.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Corrine Troskey, parents, siblings; David, Daniel, Donald, Dolores, Del and his son Christopher.

Visitation, funeral, and military honor ceremony will be held at Twohig’s Funeral Home on Saturday July 12 from 10 to 11:30 am with services at 11:30am.
