Audrey Mildred Leider

Audrey M. (Stageman) Leider, 91, of Serenity Villa Campbellsport, died Thursday, August 21, 2025. Audrey was born on July 6, 1934 in Saukville, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred Stageman. On October 18, 1952 she married Marvin J. Leider in Saukville, WI. Audrey and Marvin began their adventure together living in Saukville, WI.

They moved to Cameron, WI where they operated the Crossroads Café Truck Stop, with Audrey managing the restaurant part of the business for 5 years. They later moved to Oshkosh where they operated a Mobil station for 3 years. Audrey and Marvin moved to the Campbellsport area in 1966. They operated the Long Lake Drive-In restaurant, and later the Long Lake Bait’N’Browse.

Audrey grew up on a farm in the Saukville area, worked many different manufacturing jobs over her lifetime and was always a very hard worker.

For many years, Audrey and Marvin spent their winters in Clermont, Florida. Audrey was a social person, enjoyed people, and making friends wherever she went. She enjoyed her family, gardening, traveling, cooking for ‘an army’ of family and friends, playing cards, quilting, boating, dancing, golfing, stock car racing, all pets and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Audrey will be missed by her family: two sons, Richard and wife Dorothy of Fond du Lac, Larry and wife Kelly, Campbellsport; two daughters, Susan and husband Terry Leininger, Lynette and husband Jeff Benike, all of Campbellsport. Audrey has 8 grandchildren: Brian Leider, Lisa Dickmann (Jeff), Richard and Michael (Kelly) Benike, Anthony Leininger (Amanda), Luke, Brady and Hannah Leider; great grandchildren: Drew and Tyler Dickmann, Kendall and Bo Benike, Cora and Tegan Benike, Larry John Leider, Oliver Leider; sisters-in-laws: Joan Stageman of Marinette, and Joanne Stageman of Fond du Lac; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husbands Marvin in 1996 and Sylvester Lauters in 2000; her grandson Brian Leider; her brothers Calvin Stageman and Robert Stageman, her parents, and other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Special thanks to Brooklyn, Sammi and staff at Serenity Villa of Campbellsport, Preceptor Hospice, Amy with Community Care for their love and care of Audrey while she lived the final years of her life.

Visitation is Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm at Twohig Funeral, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport, WI.
