Alice Ketter, age 87, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026 at SSM St. Mary’s in Madison.
Alice was born to life on April 27, 1939 in the town of Auburn. Alice was united in marriage to Loren Ketter on August 23, 1958 at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum.
Alice Ketter lived a life deeply rooted in family and community. Known lovingly as Alice, Ma, Granny, or “The Cake Lady,”. Her home was always open, her table was always full, and she found her greatest joy in bringing people together.
Many knew Alice through the countless beautiful cakes over the past 60 years. She also worked as a hostess at the Idlewile. She was a proud member of the St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum while serving on the Ladies Guild, the Starcraft Camping Club, and a member of Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
Alice loved cooking, baking bread, hosting family holidays and pool parties, and spending winters at Shady Rest in Arizona with her daughter Lori. Above all, Alice cherished her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable happiness.
Greeting her in heaven were her husband, Loren “Pops”, her grandson, Bud Panko, her brother Jack Odekirk and her sisters Eleanor Haack and Joyce Bowen.
Those she leaves behind to carry on her remarkable legacy are her daughters, Brenda (David) Panko, Mary (Gary) Immel, and Lori Ketter; her grandchildren, Julie Rosenbaum, Jodie (Jason) Meyer, JayBob (Nicole) Immel, Sam (Claire) Immel, and Sara (Tyler Rezachek) Immel; her beautiful great-grandchildren, Molly Sippel, Will Fideler, Isaac Rezachek, Jameson, Miles, Isla Immel, Hannah and Hazel Immel.; sister, Harriet Gilligan ;sister in law Peggy Ketter and many other relatives and friends.
Alice leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, laughter, and treasured memories.
The family wishes to thank everyone that has helped Alice over that she crossed paths with.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 18th from 11am till 2:00 pm at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, located at 1420 Parkview Dr. Kewauskum, WI. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, with Rev. Timothy Henning officiating. A burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Campbellsport following the service.
In lieu of flowers please direct them to the Campbellsport Fire Department or the charity of your choice.
