Ellen Dunaway

Ellen Dunaway, 59, of Fond du Lac, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. She was born April 30, 1956 in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Sophie (Nowak) Krucky. She moved to Fond du Lac in 2007 and was employed at Kondex.

Ellen enjoyed reading, watching and feeding the birds, and loved her 5 “fur babies” but she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Ellen is survived by her children Joe Moench, Danny Dunaway, Bobby Dunaway and Terri Dunaway all of Fond du Lac, her fiancé Walter Rekowski, 14 grandchildren, her sisters Joan (Jim) Rajchel and Kathy Krucky, other relatives and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Visitation will take place Sunday, January 31st beginning at 1:00 PM with a 4:00 PM Funeral Service officiated by Laura Hawkins. Both Visitation and Service will be held at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac. Cremation to follow traditional service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Agnesian Cancer Center or to the family.

The family extends a sincere “thank you” to the doctors, nurses and staff at Agnesian Cancer Center for the extraordinary care given their mother.
