Robert David Seal

Robert D. Seal, 85, of Fond du Lac passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.  He was born in Waupun on July 2, 1931, the son of Charles and Emily (Meidl) Seal. On May 27, 1967, he married Monica Wettstein at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Msgr. Henry Riordan. Bob was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Third Order of St. Francis. He was employed at Green Thumb, Stateson’s Restaurant and then CJ Burke Company until retiring.  He enjoyed traveling and loved to talk politics and religion.

Survivors include his sister Carol (David) Riser of Boring, Oregon, his aunt Sister Loretta Meidel, CSA, of Fond du Lac, his brothers-in-law Herbert Wetstein of Germantown and Ambrose Loecher of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Monica (on January 5, 2005), his sisters-in-law Mary (Herman) Manthey, Rita (Harvey) Freund, Julianna Loecher and Patricia Wettstein, and brothers-in-law Bernard (Helen) Wettstein and Kenneth Wettstein.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 23rd at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, with a luncheon to follow.  Burial will then follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waupun.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 23rd from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at Holy Family Church.  In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Holy Family Building Fund or the Congregation of St. Agnes.
