Barbara “Barb” J. Kloppel, age 75 passed away peacefully at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac on Sunday Feb. 17, 2013. She was born on September 26, 1937 the daughter of Pat and Marian Spies Bruni in Janesville, WI. Barb graduated from Edgewood College with a BA in English and History. Barb loved the Packers, the Atlanta Braves and playing cards especially poker. She enjoyed music and was an accomplished musician. Barb was an avid reader and enjoyed mysteries. Barb is survived by her two sons: Michael (Denise) Brown of Rochester, N.Y. and James Brown of Washington D.C. and one daughter Cecilia (Jeff) Ketner of Cottage Grove, 5 grandchildren: Katie and Maggy Brown, Nicole Balistreri, Alex and Paxton Ketner, one great granddaughter Maezy Brown, one brother Edwin Bruni of Cascade and one sister-in-law Helen Michels of Port Washington, nieces, nephews and many other dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Gerry Bruni. Per her request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will held Sunday april 21 at 1:30 PM at Predolin Hall Room 302, Edgewood College, Madison, WI. Memorials suggested to Edgewood College of Madison.
